This happy student is learning how to put shapes together to draw a recognizable subject.  The process for this painting requires several steps: First working in the background with tempera painting and mixing with white toward the center, and then drawing on the top of the figures with oil pastels. Our students learn that the process of a painting can take several steps versus just coloring.
