KIDS 5-7 Class Details

In this age of discovery, when all they do or create is a moment to celebrate, learning drawing and painting techniques is just another celebration. The kids in this age group are like sponges, quickly assimilating all new information.

We teach drawing by deconstructing familiar subjects into geometric shapes that help children “see.” Students learn art concepts that allow them to improve and enrich their drawings. Eventually, children learn that everything can be drawn using basic shapes, and they can start applying it by themselves.

Your child will learn the proper use of a brush and color mixing using watercolor and tempera paint. The students have the opportunity of exploring other mediums such as collage and oil pastels.

When can I enroll in a class?
You can enroll anytime as long as we have space in the class. The tuition for the first month will be prorated based on your enrollment date.

What does the monthly tuition cover?
The tuition covers FOUR art classes that meet once per week. There is a quarterly registration fee every September, December and March for child and teen classes. For adult classes, there is an annual registration fee.
Some homeschool classes are marked as bi-weekly and meet twice a month.

When do the classes end?
During the school year we offer on going classes from late-August through June. You can join any time. You can cancel and stop payments s by notifying us by the 15th of the month to avoid the next monthly charge.

What if I miss a class? If you need to miss a class, you can make up your missed class by attending another class as long as you are currently enrolled. You can schedule your make-up class using our app or via de Student's Portal. Call us if you need assistance with a make-up class. Please be aware there is ABSOLUTELY NO PRORATING NOR REFUND for missed classes. "Missed" classes cannot be used as a "class credit" for the next session.

Do you love art?

How many adults have you heard say that they “do not have an artistic bone in their body” or who say “I can’t even draw a straight line”?

Most of us stop drawing around 10 years of age when we become self-conscious and very critical of ourselves. As Pablo Picasso said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” The good news is that learning how to draw is like learning to ride a bicycle or playing an instrument; you can learn and we can teach you.
