Erin Root – M.Ed. In Special Education

I earned an M.Ed. In special education in 2013, and enjoyed a rewarding career in secondary education. After spending 10+ years working as special education (life skills), language arts, and dyslexia teacher, I decided to step back and devote more time to art. I enrolled as an adult student at Art + Academy and haven’t looked back. I have decided that I would like to help others experience the joy of creating art moving forward. By combining my passions, teaching, and art, I get the best of both worlds. I am excited to help my students tap into their creativity and inspire confidence in learning the skills and techniques to help them express themselves in different ways and find a passion for life.
