Alexandra Kunert- B.F.A. in Studio Art

I received my B.F.A in studio art with a concentration in ceramic sculpture from Baylor University. I have experience in drawing, painting, sculpting and printmaking. I have been a practicing artist for 8 years and I’m always working on improving my skills. I’ve had a passion for art my entire life and was influenced the most by my mom and her understanding of the importance of creativity and nurturing artistic skills. I believe that art can help a child’s confidence and let them express themselves in a way that words can’t. Art can be improved at any age and at any skill level there is always room for improvement. Drawing and painting are great ways to open the door for a child’s creativity and expand their knowledge. I especially love seeing when a student sees their improvement and gets a burst of confidence. Connecting with students and watching them grow as and artist and person is one of the greatest gifts of teaching.
