Rosemarie Good- B.F.A. in Design

As a young child, I began taking art lessons in a small studio in Northeastern, PA where I grew up. This foundation eventually led me to follow my love of art and design to Syracuse University, where I graduated with a B.F.A. in Surface Pattern Design. For seven years following, I worked designing and styling wallpaper collections for both of the two largest and oldest companies in the US.
After moving to Austin in 2006, I realized that, while I loved many aspects of working in a design studio, my real passion was in teaching art. With each student it is my goal to not only teach them the skills for drawing and painting, but also inspire them to find their own creative voice and create the art they want to make. Now with over 10 years of experience I whole heartedly believe that it is what I am meant to do. It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to be a small part of someone else’s creative journey.
As a practicing mixed media artist I have shown my work in both group and solo shows around the Austin area and have participated in both the East and West Austin Studio Tours.
When I’m not teaching you will find me spending time with my guitar playing, skateboarding husband, two crazy, creative kids and one mischievous pug named Mikey.
