Luca began his art journey with us a few days after his 9th birthday. One of his earliest drawings was a self-portrait—carefully done with pencil, full of effort and attention. From that moment on, he kept showing up with curiosity and a real desire to get better.

Early on, he explored color with oil pastels, creating a drawing of a golden monkey—an important step in learning how to work with layers and texture. Later, he tried soft pastels for the first time by drawing a dragon’s eye, where he began to understand the power of blending and creating contrast.

Over the next three years, Luca grew tremendously—not just in his technical skills, but in the way he observed the world around him. He learned how to slow down and really look at what he was drawing. With time and guidance from his teachers, he became more confident with shading, proportions, and started experimenting more boldly with complex materials like soft pastels.

The results speak for themselves. His gorilla portrait is a turning point—full of emotion, texture, and presence. His graphite dragon sketch shows his confidence in building form and structure, while his detailed drawing of Gollum is packed with personality and atmosphere.

Each project built on the one before, and his growth didn’t happen overnight—it was the result of steady practice, encouragement, and his willingness to keep learning.
