When Phoebe first joined our drawing classes, her self-portrait was a simple line drawing—an important first step in learning how to see and build shapes. With time, guidance, and consistency, Phoebe progressed to a beautifully shaded portrait that captures not only structure, but also expression and emotion. The difference is striking: thoughtful composition, confident pencil work, and attention to detail now define her art.
Inspired by her growth, Phoebe chose to explore a new medium: oil pastels. Her recent piece—a realistic drawing of a flan on a plate—demonstrates remarkable control of texture, light reflection, and color blending. The subtle transitions and soft edges show how her training in drawing gave her a strong foundation to succeed in any medium she chooses.
We’re proud of Phoebe’s progress and excited to see where her curiosity and creativity take her next.
