I’ve had a watercolor palette and paintbrush by my side since I was eight years old. My love for art and design led me to Syracuse University, where I earned a BFA in Surface Pattern Design. While I enjoyed working in the design industry, I discovered that my true passion lies in teaching.
Sharing skills, sparking ideas, and inspiring creativity in others is one of the most meaningful parts of being a teacher. Art has given me so much throughout my life, and I strive to pass that gift on to my students. My goal with each student is not only to teach the technical skills of drawing and painting, but also to encourage them to discover their own creative voice and make the art that speaks to them.
As a practicing mixed media artist, my work has been shown and sold in exhibits, galleries, and studio tours throughout the Georgetown, Round Rock, and Austin areas.
