I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Studio Art, and I have a strong passion for both making and teaching art. I work in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and printmaking, and I find a lot of value in using multiple of these techniques in individual pieces to create unique works that fit my artistic vision.
I hope to instill in young learners just how accessible and unlimited art-making can be, and to provide them with the foundational skills that will allow them to develop their own artistic languages in the future.
Whether as a student or a teacher, an art class has always been my very favorite place to be. I strive to create that same level of enjoyment for everybody in my classroom through patience, kindness, and open communication that will encourage students to ask questions and try new things in their artwork. I also understand that every child learns differently, and I like to take the time and effort to meet each student’s individual needs and ensure that they are getting the most out of my classes.
