I am an Austin-based artist and a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my B.F.A. in Studio Art. Art has always been a part of my life—something I was drawn to from a young age and explored through years of self-teaching and hands-on practice until University. I might have learned that art encourages creativity and communication of ideas. But, from experience, it is so much more than that. Art is a skill that allows you to share a part of yourself and invite others to see the world a little differently.
The opportunity to teach young artists once again is beyond delightful. I believe every child is naturally creative and that art is a powerful tool for expression, confidence, and emotional growth. Teaching children allows me to help them tap into their imaginations, develop their artistic voices, learn the value of patience, exploration, creative thinking, and even problem-solving. Being the one to guide young artists not only fulfills me as a person but also inspires me as an artist.
