Honor began her journey at ART+Academy just before turning 10—right around the age when many kids start to doubt their drawings and become more self-conscious about creating. But not Honor. She came with a beautiful spirit and a genuine desire to learn.
From a young age, Honor was thoughtful in how she approached art. She was never shy about tackling more advanced projects and always willing to take on new challenges—whether experimenting with unfamiliar materials or exploring more complex subject matter. Over the years, she worked in watercolor, acrylic, soft pastels, and charcoal, pushing herself to grow as both an artist and an individual.

As she got older, Honor continued to strive for excellence in her technical skills. She challenged herself with larger-scale drawings in pencil and charcoal, and her dedication was evident in every piece she created. Her graphite drawing of a lizard, for example, showed impressive mastery of texture and detail—and it earned her an award in her high school ISD art competition.

But what stands out even more than her skill is the patience and diligence behind it. Week after week, Honor showed up, ready to learn, refine, and push forward—qualities that many adults struggle to maintain. She welcomed feedback with openness and balance, always receptive to instruction while staying true to her own artistic voice.
Honor also deeply valued the friendships and sense of community she found in her classes. She embraced the traditions we built year after year, and her presence brought warmth and camaraderie to the studio.

Now off to college, Honor leaves behind not only a collection of beautiful artwork but also a legacy of perseverance, kindness, and dedication. We’re confident that the skills she developed here—both artistic and personal—will serve her in every area of life. We’re humbled and proud to have been part of her journey.
